Often reducing cholesterol recipes have ingredients made of whole wheat rather than white processed flour. This is an incredible pasta dish that utilizes whole wheat pasta with a wealthy and tangy sauce.
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 2 large cans of diced tomatoes
- 1 large can of kalamata olives
- 1 large can of low sodium roasted red peppers
- 2 cloves of garlic chopped
- 2 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh oregano chopped
- 2 bay leaves whole
- Salt and pepper to tastes
- 1 pound whole wheat penned pasta
Combine the tomatoes, olives, peppers, half the garlic, vinegar, olive oil, and half the oregano in a big saucepan, leading to a simmer over medium heat.
At the same moment, brown the ground turkey with the other half of the oregano, half of the garlic and other spices you prefer to taste.
When the sauce has began to thicken flow into a blender or food processor and puree until smooth. Pour the puree into the meat of the cooked turkey and continue to simmer. Pour over the baked whole wheat pasta and serve over the top with grated Parmesan cheese.
Honey Cilantro Salmon
This delicious salmon dish should be a treat when it comes to reducing cholesterol recipes. There’s a lot of honey in this dish, so don’t eat it every day, but salmon and cilantro are so nice for cholesterol that you can add it once a month or so.
- 4 salmon steaks
- 3 cloves of garlic chopped finely
- 1 larch bunch fresh cilantro chopped finely
- 1/2 cup honey
- Juice from 2 limes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cook the garlic, cilantro, honey, and lime juice in a big skillet over medium heat. Continue to cook until the honey is fully melted.
Take the combination off the heat and enable it to cool mildly while preparing the steaks. Put the salmon steaks in a small baking dish and pour over the top of the mixture. Put in the refrigerator for up to one hour. Remove from the refrigerator and grill.
